About the role#
F.H. Paschen offers a summer internship for students pursuing careers in construction project management. You will work directly with a project team to gain hands-on experience in the built environment. This role covers various project stages from pre-construction to closeout.
What you'll do#
- Perform quantity takeoffs and material logs.
- Assist with subcontractor solicitation and field coordination.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Manage project documentation, including reports and correspondence.
- Review shop drawings and submittals for suitability.
- Track the status of change orders and Requests for Information.
- Collect, verify, and distribute as-builts.
- Prepare close out documentation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related majors.
- Experience with construction technology like Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, and scheduling software.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to track the status of project documentation.
