About the role#
F.H. Paschen offers a summer internship program for students pursuing degrees in the built environment. This role prepares you for a career in Construction Project Management by placing you directly with a project team. You will gain hands-on experience ranging from pre-construction tasks through project closeout.
What you'll do#
- Perform quantity takeoffs and manage material logs.
- Assist with subcontractor solicitation and field coordination.
- Handle project documentation, including reports and correspondence.
- Review shop drawings and submittals to determine suitability.
- Track the status of change orders and Requests for Information.
- Read blueprints and collect, verify, and distribute as-builts.
- Manage close out documentation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related major.
- Knowledge of construction technology such as Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling software is preferred.
