ExxonMobil Canada is seeking a geoscience student to support upstream operations in Eastern Canada. You will join the Asset Technical Department in St. John's, working alongside an integrated team of Geoscientists and Reservoir Engineers on projects related to the company's east coast portfolio, including the Hibernia and Hebron offshore facilities.
What you'll do#
- Support upstream operations and contribute to project work related to the east coast portfolio.
- Perform integrated seismic interpretation, geologic model building, geologic mapping, development drilling, and well log analysis.
- Deliver a formal presentation on your assigned project at the conclusion of the work term.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a University Geoscience program (Geological Engineering, Geology, or Geophysics) at the 3rd-year undergraduate level or higher (M.Sc. or Ph.D.).
- Must be returning to full-time studies following the work term.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and take accountability for tasks.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical report writing.
- A willingness to contribute to highly technical work and solve complex production, development, and commercial problems.
- Previous petroleum industry experience is considered an asset.
- Submission of an academic transcript is required for consideration.
