About the role#
Exos is offering a 12-16 week internship program for students interested in corporate wellness. This on-site opportunity in Tempe, Arizona, requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week. Participants will engage in a learning-intensive environment, gaining experience in coaching individuals and groups of various fitness levels while developing an understanding of the Exos Methodology. Interns have the opportunity to earn the Exos Fitness Specialist Certification.
What you'll do#
- Shadow, observe, and participate in the delivery of services to corporate wellness clients.
- Conduct fitness tests and evaluations.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of health promotion and incentive programs.
- Provide safe and effective exercise programs and group exercise sessions.
- Participate in weekly educational sessions, including lectures, presentations, and practical training on movement skills and program design.
- Engage with high-risk member management and injury prevention protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in exercise science, kinesiology, physical education, or a related field.
- Must be in a program that provides course credit for the internship, as this position is unpaid.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- A passion for working with active and athletic populations.
