About the role#
Exos is seeking interns for a 12 to 16 week program in San Diego, California. This on-site internship requires a minimum of 20 hours per week and is designed to provide practical experience in a corporate wellness environment. Interns will gain exposure to the Exos Methodology through educational sessions, lectures, and practical training while working with individuals of various fitness levels.
What you'll do#
- Develop coaching skills under the guidance of human performance professionals.
- Conduct fitness tests and evaluations for corporate clients.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of health promotion and incentive programs.
- Provide safe and effective individual and group exercise programming.
- Participate in weekly educational sessions and self-paced learning modules.
- Gain exposure to high-risk member management, injury prevention, and on-site rehabilitation.
- Work toward earning the Exos Fitness Specialist Certification (XFS).
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in exercise science, kinesiology, physical education, or a related field.
- Enrollment in a program that provides course credit for this internship.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- A strong passion for working with active and athletic populations.

- Status: This is an unpaid, full-time internship.
- Requirements: Interns are responsible for securing and funding their own housing, travel, food, and transportation costs. Applicants must confirm course credit eligibility with their academic advisor.
