About the role#
Equitable is hiring a Co-op Student for the IT Investment Technology team for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in Waterloo, Ontario. We are looking for students available for a 4, 8, or 12 month term. You will work in a hybrid capacity, with a requirement to be in the office for a minimum of two consecutive days every other week, plus one additional day per month.
What you'll do#
- Develop applications to improve securities analytics and data communication.
- Add new functionality to existing automation infrastructure.
- Support the daily operation of existing processes and applications.
- Expand the data warehouse with new data feeds and reporting enhancements.
- Scale solutions in the Azure Cloud using development and deployment best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a formal post-secondary co-op program.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Finance.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Knowledge of SQL queries and database structures.
- An active interest in and aptitude for investments.
- Experience with C# or C++ is preferred.
