About the role#
Envita Solutions is looking for a Logistics Operations Intern to join our Customer Impact Team. You will help map, audit, and improve the scheduling processes that keep customer waste and material movements running on time. This role offers hands-on experience in supply chain operations, process documentation, and data management. You will work with project managers, carriers, and vendors to identify bottlenecks and build clearer logistics workflows.
What you'll do#
- Prioritize Health and Safety in all tasks and follow company policies.
- Map and document current scheduling processes.
- Audit existing scheduling and dispatch data to identify gaps and inconsistencies.
- Recommend and implement improvements to scheduling workflows and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with transportation providers, vendors, and suppliers.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure accuracy in scheduling, data, and billing.
- Research logistical and by-product solutions.
- Support new customer implementation and onboarding.
- Prepare monthly and annual waste and service activity reports.
- Build tracking tools and reference materials using Excel.
- Work with leadership on projects related to CRM tracking and process improvement.
- Travel locally to meet with customers and tour facilities as opportunities arise.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current standing as a College Junior, Senior, recent graduate, or Master's student.
- Major in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or a related field.
- Experience or classroom exposure in customer service, logistics, supply chain, or environmental services.
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
- Comfort using Microsoft CoPilot and other AI tools.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management abilities.
- A curious, systems-minded approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Work modality is hybrid and on-site, requiring regular and predictable in-person attendance.
