About the role#
As a Data Analyst Operations Intern, you will join the Customer Impact Team to help refine the data processes that drive our reporting. You will work with the Customer Program Coordinator II to audit existing practices, document how information flows through our systems, and translate findings into clear summaries for stakeholders. This role offers hands-on experience in business intelligence and operational process design, with potential opportunities for local travel and facility tours.
What you'll do#
- Review current data practices to identify redundancies, gaps, and consolidation opportunities.
- Document and standardize procedures for data entry, validation, and updates.
- Maintain and update data within internal systems and CRM.
- Analyze data points to identify new opportunities.
- Prepare monthly and annual waste activity reports with supporting analysis.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure data and billing accuracy.
- Assist with CRM tracking and reporting projects alongside the leadership team.
- Create databases for customer baseline processes and support impact analysis for ground level projects.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a college junior, senior, recent graduate, or Master's student in Data Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel.
- Experience or comfort using Microsoft CoPilot and other AI tools.
- Extreme attention to detail and strong pattern recognition skills.
- Ability to learn new data systems quickly and document workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and a curious, inquisitive mindset.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- You must be able to commute to the office.
- This is a paid internship.
