About the role#
This is a full-time co-op position based in Round Rock, Texas, for the Winter 2027 term. You will join the MS Analytical Quality team for a six-month assignment running from January through June. The role focuses on the Lab Harmonization Initiative, where you will evaluate existing quality-system practices and develop recommendations for improved standardization and data-driven workflows.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate current naming conventions for work instructions, validation documents, and quality records.
- Identify inconsistencies and duplication across documentation, internal audits, and KPI tracking.
- Build a proposed documentation standardization framework that includes naming rules and implementation steps.
- Assess internal auditing and LTS programs across sites to find opportunities for better alignment.
- Explore potential AI-assisted workflows for data review and validation.
- Partner with laboratory, analytical quality, and MQE stakeholders to gather input and present your findings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- Coursework or interest in statistics, data analysis, quality systems, process improvement, or technical documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to interpret data using basic statistical analysis.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams.
- Familiarity with your university's requirements for co-op participation.
