About the role#
This is a 6-month Industrial Engineering Co-Op position based in Billerica, Massachusetts. You will join our team for the Winter 2027 term, working full-time hours to support manufacturing and materials process optimization in a high-tech production environment.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate current processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct time studies and build capacity models for critical equipment.
- Support weekly Gemba walks and update standard operating procedures.
- Assist with maintaining master data in SAP.
- Work on projects focused on reducing cycle time and scrap while increasing productivity.
- Use Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Copilot to create data visualization dashboards.
- Comply with clean room gowning requirements and work within a clean room manufacturing environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Data Science.
- Familiarity with Industrial Engineering concepts and continuous improvement methods like Lean or Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience or interest in using Power BI and AI-enabled tools like Microsoft Copilot.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to different team environments.
- You must be familiar with your university requirements for co-op participation.
