About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in front-line IT service desk support and audiovisual operations. You will work at the Empire State Building Observatory and across our portfolio of office and amenity spaces. You will report to the Service Desk and AV teams, assisting with end-user technology, identity tasks, and event support. This is a 20-hour-per-week position with a schedule that accommodates your academic commitments.
What you'll do#
- Provide on-site and remote technology support for staff under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist with executive-level support for senior leadership, including rapid response for high-visibility incidents.
- Support workplace technology in conference rooms, offices, and shared spaces, including PCs, displays, and printers.
- Assist with operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV systems, including Crestron, Biamp Tesira, and PTZ cameras.
- Maintain accurate ticket documentation in the helpdesk ticketing system.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a four-year or five-year undergraduate program in the graduating class of 2027.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of PC hardware, Windows OS, and Microsoft 365.
- Ability to work at heights using ladders.
