About the role#
Empire State Realty Trust is looking for a part-time Social Media Content Creator Intern to join the marketing team. You will help execute the digital strategy for the Empire State Building and the broader ESRT portfolio. This role focuses on creating visual stories for our social channels, with a heavy emphasis on short-form video.
What you'll do#
- Create short-form videos, memes, GIFs, and visual assets specifically for TikTok and Instagram.
- Shoot and edit video and photo content that tells stories about the Empire State Building.
- Stay current on video trends and adapt them to fit the ESRT brand.
- Find opportunities to build our audience through engaging content.
- Pitch new video and content ideas to the Social Media Manager every week.
- Manage projects to meet deadlines and communicate with various team members.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year or five-year undergraduate program in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or Business Administration.
- Proven experience in content creation, including video, editing, and photography.
- A portfolio or examples of your relevant work.
- Proficiency in tools like Adobe CC (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator) or FinalCut Pro.
- Familiarity with social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat, and TikTok. Knowledge of WeChat and Weibo is a bonus.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and interact with different levels of personnel.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and work at a desk for extended periods.
