About the role#
Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This role offers hands-on experience in construction project management, allowing you to work with experienced managers to support the delivery of projects from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with scheduling, budgeting, and quality control tasks on active construction sites.
- Help develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and progress reports.
- Work alongside clients, design teams, subcontractors, and vendors to support project success.
- Monitor project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and track project risks and support the implementation of mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with project teams and crew members to keep tasks moving efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Take advantage of mentorship and hands-on learning opportunities to build your skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a technical school, college, or university program in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions, manage multiple tasks, and work well within a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Basic knowledge of project management concepts like scheduling and budgeting is a plus.
