About the role#
We are looking for an Estimating Intern to join our team in Springdale for the summer of 2027. This part-time position offers students a chance to gain hands-on experience in construction estimating while balancing academic commitments. You will work alongside experienced estimators to learn the trade and contribute to project bids.
What you'll do#
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to help determine the scope of work and costs.
- Perform takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for construction projects.
- Track and analyze project costs and flag potential overruns.
- Communicate with crew members, subcontractors, and team members to support project schedules and budgets.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of protective gear during site visits.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university, college, or technical school program in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, construction management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Punctuality and reliability.
