About the role#
We are looking for a Mechanic Intern to join our equipment team for the summer of 2027. This internship provides hands-on experience working with our technicians to maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers. You will build a technical foundation for a career in the construction and equipment industry through direct exposure to our daily maintenance operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist mechanics with routine maintenance and repair work on company equipment.
- Participate in diagnosing equipment issues and finding solutions with experienced staff.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to keep equipment running and minimize downtime.
- Maintain equipment reports, maintenance logs, and performance metrics.
- Follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements for all equipment operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant degree or technical program, or a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A basic understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort working in both outdoor field settings and shop environments.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
