About the role#
We are looking for an Estimator Intern to join our team in Springdale. This is a part-time, paid position for students who want to gain hands-on experience in construction estimating. You will work alongside experienced estimators to learn the trade and contribute to our project bids. This internship takes place during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the team by reviewing project plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Perform takeoffs and help prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure estimates are accurate.
- Track project costs and flag potential overruns.
- Communicate with crew members, subcontractors, and team members to support project schedules and budgets.
- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of protective gear during site visits.
- Build your skills through on-the-job training and exposure to estimating software.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university, college, or technical school program in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
