About the role#
The DeltaV Product Marketing team is seeking a Summer Intern to support strategic product management and marketing initiatives for the DeltaV automation platform. You will work alongside Product Marketing, Strategy, Sales, and Technology teams on projects covering product direction, market positioning, commercialization, and customer value.
What you'll do#
- Support product vision and roadmap frameworks that connect investments to business value.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI trends, to assess opportunities for future development.
- Gain experience in roadmap planning, portfolio strategy, and cross-functional decision-making.
- Assess competitors, product offerings, and market strategies to identify areas of differentiation.
- Summarize market gaps and insights to inform new product development and business cases.
- Analyze product adoption, customer segments, and barriers to growth.
- Help define metrics and recommendations to improve market uptake and commercial performance.
- Synthesize input from customers, sales, industry research, and internal stakeholders.
- Translate findings into clear recommendations, executive presentations, and business review materials.
- Develop executive communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize technical and business information into clear recommendations.
- Interest in product management, product marketing, strategy, or technology commercialization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Rising Junior or Senior status is preferred.
- Experience with market research, strategic analysis, or competitive assessments is a plus.
- Familiarity with industrial automation, software, AI, cloud, or digital technologies is an asset.
- Experience preparing business presentations or executive summaries.
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
