About the role#
Join the Emerson T&M Analytics Engineering team to gain hands-on experience building enterprise-scale data solutions. You will work with business and data teams to develop a scalable operational dashboard that provides visibility into costs, pipeline health, system performance, and key metrics. This role also involves modernizing data governance through the automated generation of documentation and metadata management within the Snowflake platform.
What you'll do#
- Build effective partnerships with business stakeholders and data team members.
- Gain a deep understanding of the data portfolio and transformation pipelines using Snowflake.
- Design and build a scalable internal operational dashboard within Snowflake.
- Auto-generate documentation, tag sensitive columns, and ensure assets remain documented.
- Communicate improvements and recommendations for action to technical and non-technical audiences.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or completion of a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
- Knowledge and experience in SQL and Python.
- Understanding of relational databases, data modeling concepts, and data platforms.
- Ability to work independently and eagerness to learn.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent storytelling abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI effectively.
- Exposure to Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms is preferred.
- Prior experience or projects involving data warehousing, ETL, or business intelligence is a plus.
