About the role#
This is a paid internship within the corporate claims team at EMC Insurance Companies for the Summer 2027 term. You will gain experience in the insurance claims process while developing professional skills. This role is remote and open to candidates located anywhere in the United States.
What you'll do#
- Perform daily tasks and special projects to support the claims department.
- Use Business Intelligence tools to turn data into insights.
- Partner with stakeholders in Claims to gather requirements for reporting and analysis.
- Learn about the company culture, business processes, and insurance products.
- Build industry knowledge and transferable professional skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a business major, specifically in finance, communications, or business management.
- Completion of your junior year is preferred.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- An interest in a career within the property casualty insurance industry.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and solid personal computer skills.
