About the role#
This is an 11-week paid internship program for Summer 2027. You will partner with experienced Field Sales Representatives to learn our approach to account management and customer service within the Paper & Pulp industry. The role combines engineering principles with consultative sales, focusing on building long-term relationships and solving technical problems for our customers. You will gain a realistic preview of the Associate District Representative role, with the potential for a full-time offer upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Complete independent projects under the direction of your trainer to yield calculated ROI.
- Finish safety training and technical lessons focused on water treatment applications.
- Observe and participate in service visits to ensure accurate chemical application and process optimization.
- Build relationships with departments and personnel critical to field success.
- Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives, including tasks related to boilers, cooling towers, and paper process streams.
- Visit multiple customer sites across the region, with 40-60 percent of your time spent in the field.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate Engineering program, specifically Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027 or Summer 2028.
- A valid US Driver’s License with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Reliable access to a personal vehicle.
- Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds chest high.
- Willingness to relocate within the United States.
- Note: Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
Location & details#
This is a full-time, hybrid position. You will balance time in the field with remote work. Available locations include Naperville, Illinois; Skowhegan, Maine; Dallas, Texas; Kingsport, Tennessee; Cleveland, Ohio; Kalamazoo, Michigan; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Longview, Washington.
