About the role#
Ecolab is hiring Digital & AI Technology Interns for a summer 2027 program. You will join a team focused on delivering digital value to customers in areas like water safety and conservation. Depending on your focus, you will work in a Business Analyst capacity to translate business needs into new products or as a Software Engineering intern building applications. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience with real-world business challenges.
What you'll do#
- Develop and execute software engineering plans, including scheduling and resource allocation.
- Follow software engineering processes to ensure high-quality development.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and technical review of software and source code.
- Collaborate with business and technical partners to define requirements and capture needs.
- Document business requirements and monitor project success metrics.
- Participate in user testing, pilot testing, and project launches.
- Incorporate usability and user interface design into your work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's program for Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Data Science.
- An anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across business, engineering, and R&D teams.
- Experience with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Basic knowledge of process documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

- Program term: Summer 2027 (11 weeks starting June 1, 2027).
- Locations: Saint Paul, MN; Eagan, MN; or Naperville, IL.
- Modality: Hybrid.
