About the role#
This is a hybrid internship based at our Peachtree City headquarters. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting both the Finance and Marketing teams. The role involves a mix of accounting operations, market research, and business development tasks. You will also collaborate with our Customer Service and Engineering teams on project-based work.
What you'll do#
- Support daily and monthly accounting tasks, such as invoice processing, account reconciliations, and data entry.
- Assist with financial reporting by updating models, preparing spreadsheets, and validating data.
- Analyze production expenses, cost trends, and operational metrics.
- Participate in internal audits, compliance tasks, and process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct market research to inform business opportunities and customer segmentation.
- Assist in building business cases for new products and strategic initiatives.
- Analyze industry trends and pricing benchmarks to support commercialization strategies.
- Develop marketing budgets and create data models to track marketing spend.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for leadership.
- Collaborate across R&D, Sales, Finance, and Operations to gather insights.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or Chemical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience using AI to assist in developing communication tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while working across two functional teams.
- Comfort collaborating and meeting with various business leaders.
- A general understanding of quantitative and quantitative research methods.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.
- An interest in chemicals, manufacturing, or industrial markets.
