About the role#
Koppers Inc. is hiring a Corporate Communications Intern to support our internal and external messaging efforts. This is a part-time, remote position requiring 5-10 hours of work per week. We are looking for a student who can work independently and engage with employees across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Write, edit, and proofread internal and external communications.
- Maintain the internal corporate blog by securing content, drafting stories, and posting weekly updates to the intranet.
- Design content for our digital communications boards.
- Collaborate on social media content for our Facebook and LinkedIn pages.
- Organize and manage the company digital media library.
What you'll need#
- Current junior or senior student status.
- Pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfort initiating outreach to employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, or InDesign is a plus.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Note: Strong candidates may be considered for a summer internship program, which involves expanded duties and 25-30 hours per week in person at our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office.
