About the role#
This is an 11-week paid internship for Summer 2027. You will join our technical sales program to help mining industry customers preserve energy and water while minimizing their environmental footprint. You will combine traditional engineering methods with a consultative sales approach to help solve complex problems for our clients.
What you'll do#
- Complete an independent project under the direction of your trainer to yield a calculated ROI.
- Observe and participate in customer service visits to ensure accurate chemical application and process optimization.
- Complete safety training and technical lessons focused on water treatment applications.
- Visit multiple customer sites across the region to learn best practices and treatment approaches.
- Build key relationships with departments and personnel critical to field success.
- Provide routine service support to sales representatives, which may include testing for boilers, cooling towers, and filtration systems.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering, graduating in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Preferred majors include Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Valid US Driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle record and access to a personal vehicle.
- Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds chest high.

- This is a full-time, hybrid position.
- Locations include Blacksburg, Virginia; Tucson, Arizona; and Salt Lake City, Utah.
- The program begins on June 1, 2027.
