    About the role#

    This internship involves performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on utility vehicles and equipment. You will work on passenger cars, pickup trucks, SUVs, medium trucks, trailers, and off-road equipment. Work occurs in a garage environment or at field locations depending on business needs.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform preventative maintenance inspections on light and medium duty vehicles and equipment.
    • Assist with Federal DOT inspections and dielectric test inspections.
    • Diagnose and repair light and medium vehicles, trailers, and powered equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and repair electric system components and basic A/C systems.
    • Perform hydraulic brake system and component repairs.
    • Assist senior technicians with diagnostics and repairs on various vehicles.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a two-year degree program for Automotive Technology or a similar field.
    • A cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
    • A valid driver's license.
    • Expected graduation date no earlier than May 2027.
    • Ability to lift or push at least 100 pounds several times per shift.
    • Ability to work in a garage environment with noise, fumes, and dust.

    • Locations: Charlotte, NC and Florence, SC.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • This is a paid position.
