About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Duke Energy Supply Chain and Real Estate organization. You will work alongside professionals to support strategic and operational initiatives including sourcing, inventory management, logistics, and process improvement. The role focuses on projects that improve efficiency, optimize operations, and support data-driven decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Assist with sourcing initiatives, supplier research, market analysis, and procurement projects.
- Support supplier performance evaluations, vendor coordination, and relationship management efforts.
- Support initiatives focused on operational efficiency, workflow optimization, and process improvement.
- Assist with inventory analysis, demand planning, and supply chain planning processes.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and recommendations to support decision-making using operational data.
- Partner with teams across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Engineering to develop solutions.
- Participate in site visits and operational observations to understand warehouse operations and logistics networks.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
- Expected graduation date no earlier than August 2027.
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship.

- Modality: Hybrid, requiring a reasonable commute to the facility.
