About the role#
This position provides analytical laboratory support for the Process Research and Development organization at our Carrollton site. As a co-op, you will gain professional experience while continuing your undergraduate education. This is a long-term, year-round role requiring a commitment of at least one full calendar year.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine laboratory analyses, prepare samples, and create calibration standards.
- Support analytical testing activities for growth projects and manufacturing.
- Monitor analytical systems, perform basic calibration and maintenance, and conduct first-line troubleshooting.
- Evaluate data quality using basic statistical techniques.
- Assist with the interpretation, reporting, and presentation of experimental results.
- Support the development and maintenance of analytical methods and laboratory procedures.
- Document and archive analytical results and experimental data.
- Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements and Operating Discipline Management System procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Science, or a related science or engineering field.
- Minimum 3.000 GPA is preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work legally in the United States without sponsorship.
- Commitment to complete at least 6 credit hours per term during both the Fall and Winter terms.
Location & details#
- Location: Carrollton, Kentucky.
- Residency: Must live within 50 miles of the site.
- Work schedule: Part-time, year-round, during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm).
- Duration: Minimum of one full calendar year.
