About the role#
As a QC Lab Intern, you will support our Quality Control Chemists in daily laboratory operations. You will ensure that our quality assurance practices and procedures are followed while contributing to the production of high-quality products. This role is based in Visalia, California, and is scheduled for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform daily laboratory tasks to support Quality Control Chemists.
- Conduct instrument maintenance, calibrations, quality control checks, and solution standardization.
- Analyze incoming, manufactured, and outgoing materials.
- Generate, distribute, and file Certificates of Analysis.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure the workspace remains clean.
- Clean glassware and follow all relevant standard operating procedures.
- Report any food safety problems to your supervisor or the SQF Practitioner.
- Participate in required training for RCRA, regulatory, health, and safety processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in a Chemistry degree program.
- Completion of Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry courses, including associated labs.
- Proficiency in laboratory analytical skills.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with MS Office.
- Ability to apply advanced math skills and solve problems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Self-motivated work ethic.
- Must be RCRA compliant.
