About the role#
We are looking for a Brand Design Intern to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will help build new brand identities and support design experiences across digital, print, and spatial touchpoints. You will work alongside senior designers on projects for brands including The Wall Street Journal, WSJ Events, MarketWatch, Barron’s, and IBD. This position is for someone who is resourceful, proactive, and ready to learn while working on high-visibility projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in creating new brand identities from the ground up, including logos, color palettes, typography, and art direction.
- Create brand guides, moodboards, and toolkits for stakeholders and partners.
- Support senior designers on visual concepts, digital assets, and print or spatial applications like event materials.
- Build and maintain design systems in Figma, such as templates and scalable components.
- Collaborate across teams to keep design consistent across different channels.
- Conduct competitive research to identify trends and translate findings into insights for creative strategy.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a graduation date between December 2027 and July 2029.
- Strong knowledge of digital design principles and fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Figma, or similar tools like Sketch or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to produce polished, professional work with strong attention to detail.
- Comfort working in a collaborative environment with shifting priorities.
- You do not require sponsorship for an employment visa.
- Knowledge of UI/UX, animation, or print is a plus.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in New York, New York.
- The program runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- This position is paid at a rate of $28.00 per hour.
