About the role#
This is a student Teaching Assistant position for DES-360-A User Experience Design II during the Fall 2026 term. The role involves supporting the instructor, Orvar Halldorsson, with classroom activities and grading. The workload is uneven, ranging from 5 to 10 hours per week, with increased hours during midterm and final weeks.
What you'll do#
- Assist the instructor in the classroom, including equipment setup and operation.
- Facilitate student presentations and answer student questions during labs.
- Grade homework, quizzes, and other assignments.
- Meet weekly with the instructor for performance feedback and duty modification.
- Track and report all hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Good academic standing and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Successful completion of DES-360 with a grade of B or better.
- Required application materials: resume, cover letter, and current semester academic schedule.

- Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, depending on the number of terms worked at DigiPen.
- Eligibility: Students must reside within the State of Washington. Work is not permitted during scheduled class times.
