About the role#
The Esports Graphic Designer position offers hands-on experience creating branded visual content for the ArtU Esports program. You will work on-site and report to the Director of Esports. This role focuses on developing professional design practices while working within an established brand identity.
What you'll do#
- Create graphics for tryouts, team announcements, match schedules, results, recruitment, and player features.
- Apply the ArtU Esports visual identity across digital platforms and program communications.
- Adapt existing templates for recurring social content and develop new templates as program needs evolve.
- Collaborate with the Video Editor to integrate photography and other media into branded content.
- Prepare graphics in correct formats and sizes for various digital platforms.
- Organize and maintain design files, templates, and program assets.
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from the Esports Director.
What you'll need#
- Interest in graphic design, branding, social media, games, or esports.
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
- Understanding of design principles like typography, composition, hierarchy, and color.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Comfort with receiving feedback and iterating on designs.
- Ability to collaborate with other student roles and program staff.
- A portfolio or examples of previous design work.
- Experience with photography, motion graphics, or video editing is helpful but not required.

- Location: San Francisco, California.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Employment type: Part-time, up to 20 hours per week.
- Pay rate: $19.61 per hour.
- Term: Rolling.
- Eligibility: Federal Work Study status required. Schedules must not conflict with class hours.
