About the role#
This position is for a Student Teaching Assistant for ANI-1000 (Daly) during the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, part-time role requiring 4 to 6 hours per week. Applicants must be currently matriculated students at DigiPen Institute of Technology and reside within the State of Washington.
What you'll do#
- Assist with classroom setup and provide technical help with programs including TVPaint, Rough Animator, Procreate, and Toon Boom Harmony.
- Provide support to students in labs and during published office hours.
- Deliver constructive feedback and perform draw-overs for students based on a solid understanding of the 12 principles of animation.
- Collaborate with other teaching assistants and assist instructors with general tasks.
- Track and report hours worked accurately.
What you'll need#
- Successful completion of ANI-101 and ANI-151 or ANI-1000 with a grade of B+ or higher.
- Proven proficiency with course material and strong 2D drawing skills.
- Comfort with various programs and an understanding of staging.
- Reliable, punctual, and invested in the success of fellow students.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of 3D Maya is considered a plus.

- Employment Dates: August 31 to December 11, 2026.
- Wage: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on the number of terms worked at DigiPen.
