About the role#
This is a student teaching assistant position for the ANI-1000 course during the Fall 2026 term. The role involves supporting the instructor and students by facilitating lab sessions, providing technical guidance, and offering constructive feedback. This position is open to currently matriculated students at DigiPen Institute of Technology who reside in the state of Washington.
What you'll do#
- Assist with classroom setup and general instructor support.
- Provide technical help with programs including TVPaint, Rough Animator, Procreate, and Toon Boom Harmony.
- Support students during labs and published office hours.
- Provide constructive, professional feedback and draw-overs for students.
- Collaborate with other teaching assistants and cover additional class times when necessary.
- Track and report hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Successful completion of ANI-101 and ANI-151, or ANI-1000, with a grade of B+ or higher.
- Proven proficiency with course material and strong 2D drawing skills.
- Understanding of the 12 principles of animation and basic character construction.
- Comfort with various animation software and intro-level knowledge of Maya.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to student success.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with peers in a mentorship capacity.

- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31 to December 11, 2026).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Hours: 4 to 6 hours per week.
- Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at DigiPen.
