About the role#
As a Frontend Engineer Intern at Dexmate, you will work on the web interfaces that connect users to our physical robots. You will push code to production during your first week. You will work directly with our design and engineering teams to build features for our robot platform.
What you'll do#
- Build and refine interactive UI components using Vue 3 or React.
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and robotics teams to ship features end to end.
- Implement real-time data visualization for robot status, telemetry, and sensor data.
- Use AI-assisted development tools like Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code to speed up your workflow.
- Review code and receive feedback through lightweight pull requests.
- Learn new frameworks, software, and hardware concepts on the job.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with at least one modern frontend framework such as React or Vue.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and client-server architecture.
- Proficiency with AI-powered development tools and a desire to push their limits.
- Experience working with modern collaboration tools like GitHub, Discord, Slack, and Notion.
- An interest in AI agents, multi-agent systems, and AI-integrated interfaces.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD and automated testing.
- A demonstrated ability to teach yourself new tools or languages.
- Comfort working in both async and sync environments.
- Bonus points for experience with Node.js, Python, SQL, Docker, AWS, WebSockets, authentication flows, or 3D rendering libraries like Three.js.
- We value candidates who have contributed to open-source projects or built community-oriented products.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site in Fremont, California.
