About the role#
As an intern at Persona AI, you will work on dexterous manipulation for humanoid robots. You will help design algorithms for multi-fingered hands and contribute to the full manipulation pipeline. This includes tasks like grasping, trajectory optimization, motion planning, and control. You will also build digital-twin simulation environments and partner with the machine learning team to train and deploy models for advanced tasks.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement manipulation algorithms for high-DOF, multi-fingered hands.
- Develop components for the manipulation pipeline including perception, grasping, and control.
- Support the implementation and testing of control strategies for dexterous manipulation.
- Build and iterate on digital-twin simulation environments using tools like MuJoCo and Isaac Sim.
- Partner with the machine learning team to train and deploy models for complex manipulation tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Coursework, lab research, or project experience involving the control and manipulation of robotic arms.
- Foundational knowledge of motion planning, control theory, and optimization.
- Proficiency in C++ or Python.
- Familiarity with deep learning fundamentals as applied to robotics.
