About the role#
Yondu is seeking a Robotics Software Intern for the Fall 2026 term to work hands-on with autonomous warehouse robots. This role focuses on the development of navigation, motion planning, and control systems. You will work with autonomy on projects and contribute to the software stack required for robot operations.
What you'll do#
- Contribute directly to the production codebase using C++ and Python.
- Build and test software for real robots.
- Develop and implement new features or improve existing ones.
- Contribute fresh ideas and technical implementations to the team.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree or recent graduation in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Experience with Linux and comfort working in a command-line environment, specifically Ubuntu.
- Interest in how software interacts with physical hardware, such as sensors, motors, or embedded boards like Raspberry Pi or Jetson.
- Experience with Git contributions and best practices in a team environment.
- Desirable skills include experience with ROS2, Docker, and past projects in computer vision, autonomous navigation, or motion planning.
- Demonstrated tenacity, creative problem solving, and a passion for engineering.
