About the role#
This is a 12-month internship position where you will assist clients in opening new claims for home or auto property damage. You will guide clients through the claims process while providing support during difficult events. This role focuses on building relationships with members and clients while ensuring service quality meets organizational standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist clients with opening new claims and initiate the first notice of loss.
- Review insurance policy coverages to help clients understand their options.
- Educate clients on digital tools to improve their claims experience.
- Inform clients about preferred partners and liaisons.
- Assign files to Claim Adjusters.
- Establish advisory relationships by identifying client needs and supporting retention.
- Compile and analyze data while handling follow-up requests.
- Identify operational risks and opportunities for improvement within your unit.
- Stay informed on the latest standards, products, and services in the field.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Insurance program.
- Good academic standing for Co-Op program requirements.
- Strong customer focus and action-oriented mindset.
- High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal savvy.
