About the role#
As an Audit & Assurance Intern in the Technology Controls Advisory practice, you will work with clients to navigate risks and opportunities related to innovation. You will support teams in delivering audits and assurance reports that help organizations operate and report effectively. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design, assess, and remediate technology controls.
- Help clients improve the quality of information disclosed to markets and investors.
- Evaluate accounting systems and controls to identify areas for improvement.
- Perform internal audit assurance activities and consult with engagement leadership on business matters.
- Create and manage SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 reports.
- Oversee the implementation of new systems to ensure they align with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Perform internal control assessments and provide proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop recommendations to enhance business processes and systems based on audit findings.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with effective communication skills.
- Preference for candidates with a 3.2 GPA or higher, relevant work experience, demonstrated leadership roles, or those who meet educational requirements for CPA licensure.
Location & details#
- Locations: Miami, Florida and Tampa, Florida.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to co-locate on average three times a week.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% based on client and project needs.
- Requirements: Must reside within a commutable distance of the assigned office and be able to commute daily if required.
