About the role#
As an intern at Davie, you will contribute to projects involving the construction, repair, and modernization of ships. Depending on your background and organizational needs, you may join departments such as engineering, procurement, information technology, production, planning, or maintenance. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to analyze requirements, develop solutions, and support project delivery.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze technical or operational information.
- Participate in the planning, coordination, and monitoring of project activities.
- Analyze plans, specifications, data, processes, and operational needs.
- Prepare and update technical documentation, including procedures, reports, and work plans.
- Research and implement technical or digital solutions.
- Support the analysis of resource, material, and equipment requirements.
- Perform site observations, validations, measurements, and tests.
- Collaborate with teams across engineering, production, quality, and IT.
- Identify and resolve technical or operational issues.
- Propose improvements to existing processes, tools, and work methods.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university program for computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesis skills.
- Ability to organize priorities and handle multiple projects at once.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Functional knowledge of French and English.
- Curiosity, rigor, and autonomy.
- Ability to obtain the required security clearance under the federal government's Contract Security Program.
