About the role#
As an engineering intern at Davie, you will contribute to projects involving naval construction, repair, and modernization. You will work within departments such as engineering, procurement, information technology, production, industrialization, planning, estimation, quality, or maintenance. This role allows you to apply your academic knowledge to real operational challenges while working alongside experienced teams.
What you'll do#
- Gather and analyze technical or operational information.
- Participate in the planning, coordination, and monitoring of projects.
- Analyze plans, specifications, data, and work methods.
- Prepare and update technical documentation, including procedures and reports.
- Research and implement technical or digital solutions.
- Support the analysis of resource, equipment, and system requirements.
- Perform site measurements, validations, and observations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, production, and quality.
- Identify and resolve technical or operational issues.
- Propose improvements to existing processes, tools, and systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and standardization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university program for mechanical, electrical, industrial, computer, or software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesis skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Functional knowledge of French and English.
- Ability to work with autonomy and rigor.
- Must be eligible for a federal government security clearance.
- The internship must be recognized by your educational institution.
