About the role#
As an engineering intern, you will contribute to projects involving the construction, repair, and modernization of naval vessels. Depending on your field of study and organizational needs, you may join departments such as engineering, procurement, IT, production, planning, estimation, quality, or maintenance. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to analyze needs, gather information, and develop solutions. This role provides an opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience the daily operations of a shipyard.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze technical or operational information from stakeholders.
- Participate in the planning, coordination, and tracking of project activities.
- Analyze plans, specifications, data, processes, and work methods.
- Prepare and structure technical documentation, including reports, procedures, and work plans.
- Research and evaluate technical or operational solutions.
- Support the analysis of resource, material, and equipment needs.
- Perform site visits, validations, tests, and measurements.
- Collaborate with departments including production, procurement, IT, quality, and maintenance.
- Identify and resolve technical or operational issues.
- Track work progress and identify necessary adjustments.
- Propose improvements to existing tools, processes, and systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and practice standardization.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Computer, or Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Curiosity, rigor, autonomy, and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to solve problems and synthesize information.
- Strong sense of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Interest in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Adaptability and a desire to learn in a concrete environment.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office tools.
- Functional knowledge of French and English, required for consulting technical documentation.

- Employment type: Full-time internship.
- Eligibility: You must be currently enrolled in an academic program, and the internship must be recognized by your educational institution. The selected candidate must successfully pass a security clearance process as required by the federal government's Contract Security Program.
