About the role#
Daikin Applied is seeking an HVAC Test Technician Intern to support HVAC development programs. You will assist in the installation, testing, calibration, and repair of electromechanical and electronic measuring equipment. This role involves maintaining records for conformance to established standards.
What you'll do#
- Perform laboratory testing activities following standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard.
- Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Perform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirements.
- Conduct scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance.
- Identify and report nonconformities or abnormal testing conditions.
- Create and document records of testing activities.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow EH&S safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory and project teams.
- Obtain training and certifications for fork trucks, scissor lifts, or refrigerant handling.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a Vocational or Technical Degree program.
- 0-2 years of experience in HVAC.
- Preferred: Fork truck, man lift, Universal, or R410a certifications.
