About the role#
The Wealth Management Summer Internship Program offers students the chance to work alongside experienced Financial Advisors at D.A. Davidson. This 9-week, paid program requires a minimum of 25 hours per week. You will work from a branch office to observe how advisors run an ethical practice and meet the needs of individual investors. The program includes an immersive week at the corporate office in Seattle to connect with firm leadership.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with Financial Advisors and other financial professionals.
- Collaborate on projects that support advisors and their clients.
- Participate in an immersive week of activities in Seattle, including team building and presentations.
- Study for and sit for the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, with test preparation and testing costs sponsored by the firm.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of college by June 2027.
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Strong academic record and professional drive.
- Analytical, leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to commit to the full 9-week program duration.
- Residency in the local area of the branch office or pre-existing arrangements to live there for the summer.
- Satisfactory results from a background, reference, and credit check.

- This is an on-site, part-time internship for Summer 2027.
- Locations include Pasadena, CA; Ventura, CA; Colorado Springs, CO; Bozeman, MT; Great Falls, MT; Missoula, MT; Lincoln, NE; Salt Lake City, UT; Oklahoma City, OK; Lake Oswego, OR; Bellevue, WA; Seattle, WA; and Spokane, WA.
- The program runs from June 14, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
