About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences while gaining an overview of store, district, and regional operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist by immersing you in pharmacy team workflows and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with prescription fulfillment and pharmacy operations to ensure safety and accuracy.
- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures at all workstations.
- Provide caring service and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture for patients and colleagues.
- Offer to counsel and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and facilitate medication changes as allowed by state regulation.
- Provide coaching and training to pharmacy team members.
- Perform inventory activities such as cycle counts and putting away deliveries.
- Educate patients about vaccines and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Deliver patient health care services including immunizations and point-of-care testing.
- Travel to other stores in the market as needed to support business operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- Ability to work in your home store and across the market.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.
- At least 1 year of work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings is preferred.
- Ability to become immunization certified is preferred.

- Pay Range: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
