About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap to learn pharmacy team operations.
- Assist the team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
- Follow company SOPs at every workstation to help manage patient health.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care during all customer interactions.
- Contribute to a high-performing team by embracing a growth mindset and being receptive to feedback.
- Perform tasks such as inventory activities, telephonic prescription handling, and patient education under supervision.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including availability for nights and weekends.
- Strong attention and focus to concentrate on tasks over time.
- A customer service orientation with a focus on helping others.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, reaching, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
