    About the role#

    We are looking for a student to join our 2nd Shift team in Fletcher, NC. You will work with the Housing Fabrication Welding and Machining group to support our drivetrain and braking systems production. This is a paid, on-site position that offers flexibility to work around your academic schedule, up to 40 hours per week.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform bracket and seam welding on housings.
    • Handle weld repairs as needed.
    • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship in all tasks.
    • Participate in continuous improvement activities and TPM teams.
    • Monitor the work environment and report any major injury hazards immediately.
    • Document work-related injuries, illnesses, or other safety incidents.
    • Implement process changes to meet manufacturing needs.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment at BlueRidge Community College in a Welding or related program.
    • Ability to work 2nd shift hours.
    • Knowledge of health, safety, and manufacturing fundamentals.
    • Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control hazards.
    • A self-starter mindset with strong communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
    • An action-oriented approach to new challenges and a drive to achieve results.

    • Location: Fletcher, NC.
    • Schedule: On-site, 2nd shift.
    • Compensation: $20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift premium.
