About the role#
This position is part of the School to Work program at our facility in Fletcher, North Carolina. You will work with the Drivetrain and Braking Systems team to support housing fabrication, welding, and machining projects. This is a paid, full-time role that offers flexibility to accommodate your school schedule.
What you'll do#
- Assist with bracket welding, seam welding, and weld repair on housings.
- Apply high standards of workmanship to ensure quality and reliability.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and TPM teams to optimize safety, processes, and material flow.
- Prioritize safety by stopping work to report injury hazards and documenting any incidents or illnesses.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at BlueRidge Community College in a Welding or related program.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and controls safety for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety fundamentals.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- An action-oriented mindset focused on driving results.

- Location: Fletcher, NC.
- Modality: On-site, 1st shift.
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week with flexibility for your academic commitments.
