About the role#
This summer internship focuses on engineering services. You will develop and maintain the information technologies, functional excellence, and product change management systems that allow engineering teams to work efficiently. You will apply your technical knowledge to support processes like Engineering Standard Work, Value Package Introduction, and various data repositories.
What you'll do#
- Fulfill work requests according to standardized policies and document your results.
- Negotiate with technical practitioners to deliver high quality processes, tools, and specifications.
- Make decisions to move projects forward while maintaining quality standards.
- Resolve moderately complex problems for components, products, or systems.
- Execute work processes independently while engaging in system improvements.
- Coordinate and direct work among technicians or other student employees.
- Contribute to team goals and build proficiency in critical competencies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace, Biomedical, or Environmental Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 is preferred.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks.
- Current residence within the continental United States.
- A willingness to learn from others on the job.
- Proficiency in request fulfillment, service level management, solution assessment, requirements elicitation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong skills in decision quality, collaboration, communication, and self-development.

- Compensation: Monthly salary of $4,200 to $4,900 for Bachelor's students, $6,000 for Master's students, and $7,000 for PhD students.
