About the role#
We are hiring a student for our Housing Fabrication Welding and Machining team. This position is based in Fletcher, North Carolina, and supports our 3rd shift operations. You will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while balancing your academic commitments.
What you'll do#
- Assist with bracket and seam welding for housings.
- Perform weld repairs as needed.
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship in all tasks.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and TPM teams to refine processes.
- Champion safety by identifying hazards and reporting injuries or incidents immediately.
- Recognize and address risks related to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at BlueRidge Community College in a Welding or related program.
- Ability to work collaboratively and drive results.
- Strong communication skills and a self-starter mindset.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and manufacturing fundamentals.
- Action-oriented approach to new challenges.
Location & details#
- Location: Fletcher, NC.
- Modality: On-site, 3rd shift.
- Pay: $20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift premium.
- Schedule: Full-time availability up to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your school schedule.
