About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our 1st shift manufacturing team in Fletcher, North Carolina. This role supports the Drivetrain and Braking Systems plant with housing fabrication, welding, and machining projects. You will work up to 40 hours per week with a schedule that remains flexible to accommodate your classes.
What you'll do#
- Assist with bracket and seam welding for housings.
- Perform weld repairs as needed.
- Apply high standards of craftsmanship to ensure product quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and TPM teams to refine processes.
- Maintain a safe environment by identifying hazards, stopping work when necessary, and reporting incidents.
- Implement process changes to meet functional manufacturing needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at BlueRidge Community College in a Welding or related program.
- Understanding of health and safety fundamentals, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls.
- Foundational manufacturing knowledge.
- Strong communication skills and a self-starter mindset.
- Ability to drive results, collaborate with team members, and take action on new challenges.

- This is an on-site position in Fletcher, NC.
- Compensation is $20.00 per hour.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
