About the role#
The Music Rights Management Intern supports the administration of a global music catalog. You will gain hands-on experience with the lifecycle of intellectual property, ranging from U.S. Copyright Office registrations to the management of international Neighboring Rights revenue streams. This internship is part-time, running for 3 to 4 months during the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Learn the formal process of song registration with the U.S. Copyright Office.
- Compile metadata and download audio assets for federal filings.
- Review client agreements to extract and record revenue share splits.
- Identify top-performing assets on monthly neighboring rights statements.
- Draft and manage outreach to conflicting third parties to resolve ownership disputes.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas and filtering.
- Comfort working with data sets to identify trends or errors.
- Familiarity with legal agreements and the ability to summarize key terms.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic research and information-gathering skills.
- Experience with Google Workspace tools like Docs and Drive.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Data Science, or Computer Science.

- This is a remote position based in the United States.
- The schedule requires 10 to 23 hours per week.
- This is a paid internship.
